“let’s meet at Your Place…”

So, this weekend was a nice one, had a chance to go out to dinner Saturday night at Victory Beer with Eric.  I *highly* recommend their Scarlet Fire beer (tastes like bacon!) with the Acorn Squash bisque… Amazing flavor!  Seriously. Must go try it!

Then we went to a local sushi bar on Saturday afternoon, called Zwei, which was a first for me… I can’t wait to go back! (pictures of that to come later!)  After we finished  our errands for the day we settled in to catch up on our TiVo and have the baked onions for dinner.

In case you didn’t know or couldn’t tell, I’ve been using my iPhone to take most of the pictures I put up on here. It’s a decent camera, I suppose… But anyway, I go to grab my phone before I get started in the kitchen and when I pulled it off the charger I see missed calls from my parents.  Worried, because I missed a few calls in a short amount of time, I called them right back, and Mom answered with a very happy voice.

Curiously I asked her what was up, she asked if we could all meet at Your Place, in Harrisburg.  It’s about an hour and a half for both of us!  It was about 5:30 and I asked Eric what he thought… “Why not?”  I was totally surprised… seriously? An impromptu road trip to meet my parents? Sure, why not.  I miss my parents, and at the very least, Your Place have great strombolis! ^_~

Totally worth it!

I got an unexpected call from my parents to see if Eric and I wanted to meet them for dinner at Your Place outside of Harrisburg (half way between our homes) and they had a big surprise for me!.. well, both of us!

It’s late now, but pictures and story to come tomorrow! Until the morning…

Last minute plans… maybe?

So I might be putting my cooking plans on hold for a few nights, my maid of honor is celebrating her birthday this weekend, which has prompted for some last minute change ^_^

Girls’ weekend over due! Maybe we’ll start Sunday… more likely Monday, though.

By then, who knows, maybe my cookbooks will be here!
